Dengue is a tropical and subtropical disease carried by Aedes mosquitoes, especially A. aegypti. According to the World Health Organization, 2.5 billion people around the world are at risk from dengue. Currently, more than 100 countries have experienced dengue. Each year there are tens of millions of cases, and as many 95% are children.
